Nonet Sykes
Nonet Sykes leads the Annie E Casey Foundation’s Race Equity and Inclusion Portfolio which invests resources to identify, implement, and promote the most effective strategies to improve access to opportunities and increase equitable outcomes for children, families, and communities of color. Previously, Sykes managed capacity building resources designed to strengthen neighborhoods and families and led an international learning strategy that contributed to the Foundation’s knowledge and experience related to using data to advocate for improvements in child well-being.

Kids, Race and Equity- Data and Tools for Child Wellness and Opportunity in Texas
This workshop will explore current research innovations at the national, state and regional level that employ principles of racial equity to track the well being of children and eliminate racial disparities. The panel will be lead by national and Texas-based research organizations the Annie E Casey Foundation, the Center for Public Policy Priorities and the Center for Elimination of Disproportionality and Disparities. The presenters will share research findings, toolsets, methods in technical assistance, and service delivery practices that help track, measure and advocate for racial equity and child well-being.
