In the Era of Obamacare Healthcare Coverage is a Matter of Race and Class in Georgia

The decision to opt-in or out of Medicaid expansion has broad implications for women of color and LGBTQ people of color living in the South. And while progress has been made regarding preventative care and contraceptive coverage requirements, we know that without Medicaid expansion thousands of women and LGBTQ people will be without healthcare. Therefore organizations such as SPARK Reproductive Justice Now and the National Chapter of the Domestic Workers Alliance--Atlanta Chapter are leading the fight in Georgia to gain the full promise of the Affordable Care Act for all!

Speakers: Tamieka Atkins, Quita Tinsley, Shan Moten
