Reproductive Rights at the Intersection of Class, Race and Immigration Status
In 2011 and 2012, the nation has seen a record number of restrictions on women?s reproductive health and rights- from efforts to restrict access to abortion to deny coverage of contraception. In this workshop, participants will learn and discuss the ways in which factors such as class, race and immigration status affect the debate on reproductive rights and justice. Panelists will highlight the impact of draconian policies and harmful rhetoric on women of color, immigrant women and low-income women.
