How can film and interactive media advance work for racial justice and equality? This session will focus on leveraging documentaries – online and off – to amplify your messages, reach and rally communities, build coalition, influence decision makers, and move your mission forward. The workshop will offer a framework, specific case studies, and time for planning and discussion about using visual storytelling as an asset in you work. Featuring excerpts of the new and award-winning films Freedom Summer, Come Hell or Highwater: The Battle for Turkey Creek, The Hand that Feeds, and community driven screening initiatives like MORAL MOVIES and Coal Ash Stories.
