WASHINGTON – The national racial equity organization Race Forward today announced that award-winning author, speaker, and nonprofit leader Vu Le will join the keynote speaker slate for its 2026 Facing Race conference, taking place November 12-14 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Le joins previously announced keynote speakers Tressie McMillan Cottom, author and New York Times columnist, and W. Kamau Bell, award-winning comedian and filmmaker.
“Vu Le is an outstanding addition to an already distinguished panel of keynote speakers who will energize Facing Race attendees,” said Race Forward President Glenn Harris. “His thought-provoking, compelling, and humorous commentary is bound to inspire our audience, and I expect conference attendees will leave with renewed energy, sharper analysis, and fuel for the work ahead.”
Facing Race is the nation’s largest multiracial and intergenerational post-election gathering of racial justice advocates. This one-of-a-kind gathering serves as a vital intersection where community organizers, public leaders, activists, artists, educators, and movement makers come together to build collective power and advance racial justice nationwide. Le is best known for his widely read blog, Nonprofit AF, where he documents the humor, frustrations, contradictions, and possibilities of nonprofit and philanthropic work. He is also the former executive director of the Seattle nonprofit RVC, which promotes social justice by strengthening organizations led by communities of color and developing their leaders. In 2023, the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy honored Le with its inaugural Pablo Eisenberg Memorial Prize for Philanthropy Criticism.
