Facing Race 2026 is pleased to offer on-site childcare for the duration of the conference, included as part of your registration — there is no additional fee. Our goal is to support parents and caregivers in fully participating, engaging, and thriving at the conference, while ensuring that children are welcomed and cared for in a safe, nurturing environment. Providing childcare is an important part of meeting accessibility needs and creating an inclusive space for all attendees.
Childcare will be available from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET, Thursday, November 12, through Saturday, November 14, 2026, though hours are subject to adjustment based on conference programming.

To request childcare, you must indicate your needs at the time of completing the registration form. The Facing Race team will confirm your request once space is available. Childcare spots are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to submit your request early.
Catering will be provided for children, but parents are also welcome to bring selected food or snacks for their child if preferred.
Safety First
Your child's safety is our top priority. Measures in place include:
On-site registration & identification
- Children will receive wristbands and name tags.
- Parents will be issued Pick-Up Cards to retrieve their child.
- Everything that the child brings to the room needs to be labeled.
Health & hygiene protocols
- Temperature checks: Children with a fever over 100°F will not be admitted.
- Bathroom log: Tracks time in/out, child’s name, and attending sitter.
- Toy disinfection: Before, during, and after the event.
- Masks: Provided for caregivers if requested.
- Hand sanitizer: Alcohol-based for adults; alcohol-free for children.

Caregiver Qualifications
All sitters are employees of Elegant Event Sitters and have:
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Background checks (including sex offender registry)
- Minimum 3 years of childcare experience
- Group & individual care training
Many caregivers also have teaching experience, special needs care experience, and extensive years in child services.

Activities
Children will enjoy:

Parents will receive a text message if any issues arise with their child.

The childcare location will be shared directly with registered participants who indicated their need for childcare during registration, closer to the event date.
