Mya Hunter

Mya is a 25 year old, fourth generation Durhamite, who feels a deep sense of love and duty for her Hometown. At 12, she co-founded Youth Noise Network (YNN), a youth radio project based out of the Center for Documentary Studies. Mya continued making media and began youth organizing with SpiritHouse at the age of 16. Currently she serves as a project coordinator and lead organizer with the organization. Mya also had the privilege of serving as an executive committee board member of Alternate Roots for four years.
